Monica is finally here! She got here last night and I have had more fun in the past 24 hours than I have in the past few weeks!
The first thing we did was get her some food. She hasn't been to Mellow Mushroom in years, so we went. We got there just as they were starting trivia night, and of course we had to participate. There were a few questions we rocked and a few that we really were in left field on. But it was a lot of fun and I'm glad we went.
I was planning to run this morning, but there was still a little twinge in my knee, so I decided to skip it. Monica and I took the dogs for a walk instead. It was a pleasant walk. The temperature wasn't too hot (it was around 7:30). I think that I need to run tomorrow. Too much good food lately!
The day at the shop was SUPER! I had a private lesson first thing, and I think I really helped the lady out. She was having trouble reading patterns, so we talked through the pattern and she seemed so glad to have someone explain it. We worked on a sample of the stitch pattern and she said it looked so much better than any of her other attempts. That made me feel great!
Then we had several new customers, and they all seemed pleased with the selection and the shop. Yay! Then the two students in my EZ Stocking class came in and they had gotten to the point where we had decided to be, and both of them turned the heel today. They'll probably be finished sooner than we planned, which is great!
Monica made Sweet and Sour Tofu tonight. I helped a little. Like I opened the can of pineapple and stirred the sauce. It was DELICIOUS!! I really enjoyed it! I think this was the first time ever, since sweet and sour usually has peppers in it. Yum!
See what I mean?
Tomorrow is Square of the Month day and tomorrow night is Painting with a Twist. Check out that Tabasco painting. That's the one we're doing. Is that just perfect?! I can't wait to show you how ours turn out.
