Chocolate ...

Good thing I ran this morning. Instead of watching the minutes until I go to the airport to get Bill tick by, I decided that I needed to do something today. On my list were the Speight's Brewery and the Cadbury Chocolate Factory. I figured of the two Bill would want a beer, so I went to Cadbury's. Mmmmmm, chocolate! At the start of the tour we were given a little bag with a few samples in it. Along the tour our guide gave us samples for answering questions correctly and really just for being there. At the end was the retail store. I was pretty good and didn't eat too much. I bought a few things at the store, but I felt I was better than most.

Following that I headed to the veg restaurant to have another of those fabulous mushroom burgers. Nope. They were out. Bummer. So I proceeded back to the Inn, but stopped at the Good Oil. It got a mention in more than one of the guidebooks, and it was packed, so I figured it would be good. I ordered the spinach, mushroom, and brie on ciabbata bread and a beer. The sandwich was $13, so I figured a $20 should cover it. Nope. $25 was the total. Sheesh! A $12 beer? It had better be good! It was an Emerson's Pilsner. Not bad, but I'm afraid I don't consider it worth $12. Oh well. I'm on holiday. It's OK to splurge. The sandwich was excellent.

In three hours I will be on the road to the airport to meet my soulmate. He should be landing in Christchurch soon. I am so looking forward to it!!
