Starting to improve!

No pee so far and it has been 24 hours! I did catch Marco on the bed this morning and he started to dig. I said "Uh uh. No!" He stopped, looked at me, and ran off the bed. He ran up the ramp and into the litterbox. Then he started to dig and pee! Yay! Crisis averted!

I went on to work. I've been home (but sitting outside) for about an hour. I think he has started to chill a little, and maybe I can enjoy this vacation!

Today at the shop was AWESOME! Lise taught the first of two Swirl Shawl sessions and it was a big hit! We discovered a few things that could improve for next time. I have been trying to sit her down and work out a price, as I want to pay her for her time and knowledge. She told me she wanted one pattern and the chance to teach it as a class. I am totally on board! However, I have set a precedent with other people with payment for knit-alongs and classes and I don't want Lise to think I treated her any differently. She thinks I am over the top generous. Maybe I am, but I think she put a lot of work into this, putting together handouts and all. This class has been the most popular of anything I've done so far, and has brought a lot of business in. I'm happy about it!

When I got back to the coach, I decided to take a walk on the beach, except the beach is closed. The dune walkover has been taped off. I took a picture because I have never seen this. There are a dozen skimmers in the water between the base and Fort Pickens. This is the sound, not the ocean! I did not see any tarballs on the sand, which is great, but there was the faint odor of lighter fluid in the air. I'm sure it wasn't coming from the tent campers, as they are upwind. This is what it looked like out there. At the far left of the photo you can see the smokestack. At the far right is Fort Pickens.

It is time for supper!
