Lay off the garlic.
I had a garlic pizza last night at Hopjack's. The menu says that you don't have to worry about vampires. Heck, I don't even want to get close to me. Oofah. My gut was not happy this morning. It was making sounds that I've never heard before. These sounds rivaled the best dolphin songs ever recorded!
First up today was Week1 Day 2 of the Dog Bed to 5k program. The dogs did really well. We ran 1.97 miles in 34:22 for an average pace of 17:24. They did their runs at around 10:30. I'm really happy with them. Then I left them in the backyard with some water and went and did my run.
Intervals today! I used the run with the dogs as part of my warm up. I ran one mile then did the intervals and then the cooldown. I felt good overall, but my gut took some of that good feeling away.
Lap Distance Pace Time
1 1.00 11:04 11:04
2 0.12 8:44 1:03
3 0.35 11:23 3:58
4 0.11 8:48 1:01
5 0.36 11:09 4:00
6 0.12 8:31 1:01
7 0.36 11:01 4:00
8 0.12 8:18 1:00
9 1.01 11:06 11:16
I'm very happy with the run. I didn't feel like I was running in the 8s. I was running hard, but I felt like I still had room to go. That is a good feeling. Perhaps I am getting stronger!
This run totaled 3.56 miles in 38:23 for an average pace of 10:47. Now the rains can come.
