Track workout without the track

I wanted to run today, even though it is a day off on my schedule. Partly because we are going out to a big dinner tonight (one that has dessert included). There is a section on the main road near the hotel that is flat for one block (about 0.234 miles).

First lap was a warm up, then I tried to make each of the next seven faster than the one before, then the last two were cool downs. I feel pretty good about this workout.

The seven speed laps average out to 9:09. That's pretty good! That's the pace I want to maintain at the Crescent City Classic. I've got my work cut out for me, but less than a week to do it in.
