Brrr!

I wanted to run five miles today. And I did! And it was cold. No, it was COLD! This is Florida. North Florida, granted, but still part of the Sunshine State. Where people come to get warm in the winter. Today was a really good test run for my trip to the frozen tundra of New Jersey in a few weeks. The temperature when I left the house was 40, but the winds were out of the NNW at 19mph, giving a wind chill of 30. That is just too darn cold, even if the sun is shining!

I put a scarf on, but the only ones I have are fuzzy. The concept helped, but the fuzz was annoying. So I'm thinking about a new sewing project, a buff. I'll try it without elastic. I spent a good portion of the run trying to conceptualize it in my mind and how I would make it. I contemplated ordering one, but it is a good item on my Christmas list, if people pay attention to that sort of thing.

Splits on the run were 10:26, 10:51, 11:03, 11:25,  11:18. I am really happy with the run. I still feel a little head congestion, but it's not too bad. I may be able to get back on track this week.
