Monday = errand day

Pest control came by first thing. Woo hoo. No bugs or pests, which is very good. I gave Tawny one of the pills today to see how she would react to the med. I honestly could not tell a difference. She was laid back and slept all day. I took her with me on my errands and she was fine.

I went to Hobby Lobby because I heard they had flavoring oils so I could make more candy. I picked up a few flavors and also a pack of sugar-free candy mix. Then I went to PetSmart and then to Academy Sports. I got a technical t-shirt, which I then took to the printers on Creighton so they can print my half marathon "logo". I thought about going to Publix after that, but I realized that I'm not going to need much this week. I have enough food in the cupboards to get through the week, so I just came home.

After lunch Leah came over and I had a massage. The timing was perfect, as my back had been hurting me. Also, the bottom of my left foot. The right bothered me a little, but not nearly as much as the left. Walking today was painful. It felt like I had a charlie horse in the arch of my foot. Ouch! But Leah worked on it and now it feels much better. I wonder if this is a sign that I might need new shoes soon. I hope it is not indicative of the start of a serious problem. I will see how I do tomorrow morning as I start tapering my runs.

Tonight I made two batches of candy to take with me this week. The humidity was in the 40s, but I think the candy came out OK. I added green food coloring to one (the other would be red), but I didn't realize the flavor, which was already colored, would color the candy. So now it is a green-purple. Oh well. It shouldn't affect the taste.

Now it is time to sit back, relax, and work on a sock.
