Crummy weather, great run

I did my 5 this morning. It felt good! The weather was crummy, though. The temp was 46 degrees, with 93% humidity, north winds at 18mph, and it looked like it would rain any minute. Luckily I made it through without getting rained on.

My legs felt good this morning, too, which was nice. I think it is because I rolled them last night a little bit with a Trigger Point Therapy massage ball. I didn't do it for long; maybe two minutes each thigh, but it was just enough to loosen some knots. I'll have to do it again tonight to get ready for tomorrow's long run.

Splits today were 10:27, 10:37, 10:46, 10:44, 10:57. Total was 5 miles in 53:32, for an average pace of 10:42. I feel good about it. It was a good pace. Not too slow and not too fast. This is what I want my training pace to be. Let's see if I can keep it up tomorrow.

Tawny was well-behaved! I was thrilled to come home and not have to clean anything up!
