Reunion time

Saturday was a great day! After the run, Bill and I went to have breakfast. Then we came back to the coach and showered. I dropped him off at the conference and I took the dogs to the Sparks Marina Dog Park. They were soooooooooooooo happy! They really had a great time just running around and around and swimming in the lake.

Later that afternoon we went to the Flag Panel, which is an open forum for the audience to ask questions of the admirals. It is a great idea, but you never really get a straight answer, unless it is an easy yes/no question. After that we came back to the coach and got ready for dinner. We met our friends, Tom and Jenn, at the Nugget and took a taxi to the Silver Peak Brewery, the same place we went last week with my MBA classmates. The food was great and we had a fun time. Those two are a hoot and I wish we lived closer to them.

Following dinner we went to see our friends, Matt and Alecia, at their hotel room. We brought over a bottle of wine and got caught up over the years. Their one-year old daughter was asleep, but we got to see their three-year old son. He was a hoot! He came over to show me his backpack, which is pretty cool since apparently he does not take well to strangers. I guess I made a good impression!

It has been great weekend of seeing people we haven't seen in ages and yet it feels like we just saw them yesterday.
