Home improvement

As Bill was leaving a few months ago, we discussed hiring a lawn service. When he was home we had a hard time keeping up with the lawn. Now that it would all fall on me, we thought it would be a good idea. I really like it because it can get done at any time, rather than us waiting for a Sunday when the backyard was dry. The odds of that happening were about as good as finding the needle in the proverbial haystack. I took the recommendation of a friend and selected a service. He's been pretty good. He and his folks do really nice work. I do have one question for the person(s) operating the weed whacker though. Do you realize that this is a dryer vent and not a weed?

I decided I had enough and brainstormed a fix. I don't want critters/bugs getting in there and into the house or messing up the machine. A small rodent could get stuck and die, and then the exhaust would vent back into the house or the machine could catch on fire. I went to Home Depot yesterday morning and got the parts and installed the fix this morning.

I hope they are coming tomorrow to do the back yard, since they couldn't get it last week, as it was too wet. But then again, I hear some thunder in the distance and we might have a wet yard tomorrow. We shall see.

In other news, Kelly, our photographer, called and said she has the rest of the pictures ready. She is going to drop the disc off at the shop tomorrow. I can't wait to see them!
