I'm at the end of my rope. When I got home from work I released the cats from their exile in the bathroom, where they'd been since Sunday morning. I had seen Marco use the box and there was enough in there daily to convince me that they knew how to use the litterbox. I took a chance and let them roam free overnight. No problems, and I think they were happy to be free.
Here I am on the sofa a few minutes ago happily copying files to my phone and I look over on the loveseat and see Marco scratching at it. I jump up, thinking I could avert disaster. Nope. I'm too late. He's already peed. I chase him into the bathroom and put him in the box. And that is where he still is and will probably stay indefinitely.
I'm glad I bought the new spot cleaner Monday. I really like it. I just wish I didn't have to use it. What should I do?? I could take him to the vet, they'll take a sample and test it, and tell me that they don't know what the problem is, but I have to fork over $500. They go in for their annual checkup and shots on Monday. I'll bring this up, but I don't know what good it is going to do. Poor Abby is the victim in all this. She has to be sequestered because I only have one box. Maybe I should get a second box so that she can live in the house while Marco stays in the bathroom.
Any suggestions you have are appreciated.
