Lost it

Just when I thought I was at the end of my rope with Marco, I discovered that I wasn't. NOW I am. I am seriously pondering catricide.

Marco peed on the loveseat this morning as I was getting ready to go out the door. I am taking some continuing education to keep my engineering license active. I got out the cleaner and went to work. Yes, I had covered the sofa and loveseat with the "clear" plastic trash bags, thinking that might give me a chance. But no, he just moved them out of the way.

So I had a bit of a meltdown.

Class was OK. It was the on legal aspects of engineering, not the most riveting of subjects. It was not a waste of time, as I did get a lot out of it. Tomorrow is the laws and rules class, which is just an exercise in how well do we know the licensure board's rules. Whoopee. But if it allows me to renew my license for another two years and I don't have to take the PE exam again, it is worth it.

We got out of class right at noon. I hustled home and let the dogs out and got lunch together. I even grabbed the cat poop to drop off at the vet. Once I got to the vet, I discovered that they close from 12 to 2 on Thursdays for training. Great. Now I'm stuck with cat poop for the rest of the day.

As soon as I got to work I googled waterproof sofa covers. I found one site that looked promising. I called to find out if they had the color in stock and then figured I'd measure the sofa and loveseat when I got home and then place the order. Maybe even overnight them. The company is called Canine Covers. Here is the link. The company specializes in, or should I say "only makes", seat covers to protect furniture from pets. I called customer service and was told that they were out of stock in the SofaSaver in all 8 colors and both sizes. Hmm. Isn't there anyone at that company with a brain cell? What kind of business goes out of stock on its main product? And why is it going to take FOUR WEEKS to manufacture more??

Yeah, I'm going to have to raise the BS flag on that one. I'm going to see if there is something else out there. That is just crazy. Hard to believe they can stay in business with that kind of business model.

So other options: I contact the pet psychic at the Mystic Cottage (that's going to take a bigger leap of faith than me going to the acupuncturist), confine him to the bathroom forever, make him an outdoor cat, or give him away to a farm that needs a mouser. Suggestions, anyone?
