The weather was absolutely gorgeous again this morning, although there was still some fog. I took the road bike out for my thirty-minute-easy-to-flush-the-legs ride. It felt great! I would have liked to go a little farther before turning around, but there was a big thick fog bank ahead and I didn't want to take the chance. I turned around and came back in the clear. I made up the last few minutes by riding around the neighborhood. It was quiet and peaceful and it was a good way to end the ride. It may have slowed my average time a little, but it increased my enjoyment. Fair trade.
I rode 7.18 miles in 30:01 for an average speed of 14.35 mph, or 4:11 min/mi.
This was a good start to what is going to be a looooooooooooong (but fun, I hope) day.
