What's in your glass?

I'm enjoying a nice beverage this evening. Remember when I went blueberry picking this summer? Hal and Michelle made wine and I am enjoying a glass now. I had a great laugh over the label.

Today was a good day. Karen knit her first sock and did a great job on it! I think she really got the concept of the anatomy of the sock and how the pieces fit together and how they are formed. I felt really good about that.

This morning's bike ride was great. I took the road bike to the bike shop near the shop so I could get the tire changed. Could I have changed it myself? Maybe. It was a rear tire, so I know there would be hours of aggravation trying to get it back on around the derailleur just right. Instead, the kind gentleman there had it changed in 5 minutes at a cost of $15.04. Worth it! Now I am really looking forward to my next ride!

My sweetie sent me flowers today! What a funny story. I was chatting with him on Skype when I saw a car pull in. I figured it was a customer. Nope. It was the floral delivery guy!

How awesome! Bill said that he hoped we'd be online when the flowers were delivered. They are absolutely beautiful and I hope I remember to lock them in the spare bathroom when I'm not around to keep Abby from dining on them.

Speaking of Abby, here's a photo I took the other day of the kitties just being cute

For equal time, here's one of the dogs.

I love my little furballs!

In other news, MY FEET DO NOT HURT!!! Yes, that is correct! I have gone three days now without feeling ANY pain in my feet whatsoever! I am so happy about this, I can't even begin to tell you. Tomorrow will be a big test though, as I have a 12-miler on the schedule. I like running in Navy Point Park, but I want a change. I think I am going to run at Johnson Beach in Perdido. Apparently the road out and back is a 4 mile run. I know I'll do it three times, but I'll be right there on the Gulf so the scenery will be awesome. It will be a new run and I think I'll enjoy it.

My tentative plan is to get pizza for lunch after the run. There is a new place called Bella Luna out there that I have heard nothing about but good reviews. I called and supposedly they don't put any peppers in the sauce. I realize the pizza will negate the run, but such is life.

Archaeologist Jen came to the shop today. It was great to see her. She's been pretty busy lately and hasn't been by. She ran and biked today! I'm thrilled to see it! Apparently the shoes she has aren't doing her any favors and are probably the cause of her shin splints. She asked me if I would be interested in going to Running Wild and then sushi sometime soon. Yes!! I have a $35 reward at RW that is going to expire soon, so I certainly need to go. I had considered going Monday afternoon so I suggested Monday night. It's the best night for me, and Jen is single and I didn't want her to suffer through the evening alone.

Overall it was a good day today. I am happy with it. I know tomorrow will be good too, as will Monday.Things are looking up!
