The shop is kickin'

Stephanie from LunaBudKnits is in the shop teaching spinning this week. The place is jammin'! She taught fifteen students the drop spindle yesterday and six the wheel today. Tomorrow there will be seven in the wheel class and then on Saturday there are three students in the advanced wheel class. The parking lot is full and the cash register is ringing. She gives me a cut of the proceeds from the sales of her fiber and I will give her 60% of the class fees. It is good for both of us.

Stephanie came to town for the Greater Gulf Coast Arts Festival to sell her yarn. Well, she really came to visit with family at a condo her parents own here and decided to sell her stuff at the festival. She came to the shop the night we did the pot luck dinner with Kate Jacobs and we talked about doing spinning classes. Here we are.

It has been really good for the shop. It has been bittersweet in that this is the end of an era. I'm glad I'm going out on my terms.

Having Regina around has been great. She has been helping in the shop and at the house. The cats are warming up to her. I just need to keep her from falling for the puppy-dog-eyes and untraining the dogs!
