I rode the bike today! It was nice. It was cold, but nice. It felt good to ride. I took the comfort bike because the road bike tires are low. That makes me a little mad, as I just had the bikes tuned up (ok, a few months ago) and I thought I got new tubes. I wonder if storing the bike on the wheels versus upside down or elevated on a stand makes any difference.
Anyway, I rode 6.14 miles in 33:45. It was a nice easy ride just to flush the legs from all the running. I went up Blue Angel to Mobile Highway and turned around at 15 minutes or so and came home. I was almost at my left turn when some jerk decided to see how close he could come to me. 1) there was no oncoming traffic (or any behind him for that matter), 2) there was a striped out center median, and 3) I was in the bike lane. There was NO reason for him to come that close. I swear his mirror was less than a foot from my elbow. Grrr.
Otherwise, it was a great ride!
