I set out this morning thinking I would do one warm up, two tempo miles, and one cool down. As I did my warm up mile I realized that my heart and my head were not in the game. I shortened it and did a mini tempo run: 1 mile warm up @ 10:57, 1 mile @ 9:05, 1/2 mile cool down @ 10:47.
I ran 2.5 miles in 25:20 for an average pace of 10:09. Next time will be better.
