It has been a while since I ran last, and I've had quite a few s'mores and my husband's incredible grilled dinners, so I thought I should get up and get moving.
I ran the campground loop twice. Incredibly one lap from door back to door was one mile. I wanted to quit after twenty feet! The altitude was a killer. You would think that since I've been at high elevations now for two weeks that I would have acclimated by now! It was also pretty chilly. My weather channel app said 33 degrees, but I don't think it was that cold. I would bet on low 50s.
In either case, it was cold! I did not prepare well, and I only brought shorts and tees. I put one one of my sweatjackets and I'm glad I did.
I ran 2.0 miles in 21:21 for an average pace of 10:40. I did the first mile in 10:42 and the second in 10:38. I'm glad I ran it.
