Thursday was a really great day. We were going to do a bike ride in the morning, but I opted against it. I probably should have, and it would have been good for me. Bill went on a short ride. Then we left for Estes Park and the Rotary luncheon that Bill's parents wanted to take us to. It was a nice lunch, with surprisingly good food.
After lunch we went to their house and sat out on the back deck and chatted. Tawny was fascinated by the cats, who were equally intrigued by her, but only through the glass door. Scarlet (one of the cats) was howling at the screen door, and Tawny was stuck to her like glue.
We left around three that afternoon and headed south to Aurora. I got to have dinner with a good friend from high school and his wife and kids. It was a great evening! I haven't seen Andy much over the years, but he hasn't changed a bit. Ruth is a really sweet woman and they are a good couple. The kids are cute. It was so nice catching up with them. We had intended to leave way earlier than we did. It took us about an hour and 20 minutes to drive back to Fort Collins from there. It was worth it!
So we drove well over 200 miles yesterday, but it was a really fun day!
