Fort Collins 5k

I got up this morning and went for a run. The past two weeks or so, my calves have been cramping at night and sometimes the arches of my feet have been cramping. I've been getting charlie horses. I've been taking in a lot of fluids and using the nuun electrolyte tabs, so I'm not sure why this is happening. I have not been using my Triggerpoint kit, and that fact, and all the time spent in the car, may have something to do with it.

Anyway, I ran this morning with charlie horses in both calves. That made the run not so much fun. The altitude was also a factor I'm sure. We're at around 5000 feet and I'm not used to it. I've been feeling pretty tired. The temperature was 60 degrees with 38% humidity. Perfect for the run!

I ran 3.23 miles in 35:09 for an average pace of 10:52. I had negative splits: 11:08, 11:06, 10:29, 2:27 (10:29 pace). I think all in all it was a good run, but my legs were sore. Even now, four hours later, they are protesting.

Bill ran with me up to where I turned around. Then he continued at his pace and did four miles.
