It was supposed to be a long slow distance run. I think it went a little faster than it was supposed to. My plan said 1:30 or 8 miles. I think the coaches are more concerned with time than with distance, but I wanted to make sure I got both. I did 8.25 miles in 1:30 for an average pace of 10:55. Avg HR was 166. Splits: 10:29, 10:28, 10:36, 10:49, 11:03, 11:06, 11:22, 11:17, 2:50 (an 11:27 pace). I took the footpod off because I think it was messing with the pace shown on the Garmin.
It was a good run. The weather was nice. The sun was shining and the temps were in the upper 40s. I went a little later than usual because I didn't want to freeze. I have errands and chores today, but the timing is flexible. I had on capris and a my Disney long sleeve tech tee. I was a little chilly some moments and comfortable others.
My feet hurt at the end of the run, but not as much as I was expecting. I iced them for 20 minutes or so and am now going to jump in the shower. Then I will massage them.
