Nothing too exciting. Deb came in because she wanted to lengthen a top she had made and thought I had some magic trick where she didn't have to rip it all out. Of course I did. We cut it in half! She ran a lifeline through one row, getting each stitch. Then she cut a stitch in the row about and unraveled the yarn, picking up the stitches as she went. Now that the top is in two pieces, she will add length to the bottom and next weekend we'll graft the two pieces together. It's like magic! It's a good thing it was in the stockinette section and not in a pattern section. I am not sure I have a magic trick for that.
Things were pretty slow today. I was able to get my Mystery Sock to the point it needs to be for class on Wednesday. I may get to work on the other one this weekend and see if I can get it caught up or somewhat close.
Towards the end of the day I got a call from Angela's husband to see if we were still going to dinner. We had talked about it yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately Angela was sick and throwing up. I offered to postpone, but Za insisted on sushi tonight. So we went. It was a fun dinner, with nonstop entertainment. It was hard to keep from laughing when the waiter brought Za her seaweed salad. It had the spicy sauce on top and Za said, "Excuse me, did you know that was there?" What a funny little kid. It was a good dinner.
I am exhausted, so I think I will rustle up the troops, perform the close-up routine, and hit the hay. Tomorrow morning will be chilly, so I think my eight-miler will take place in the afternoon. Between football games. Not that I know who is playing and when, but since I've only seen two or three games this year, I would like to watch.
