This was a hot one. The heat index was over 100 degrees when we started. Jen and I took it nice and easy. The sprinklers near the end were on so we ran through them. That was a welcome relief! We ran 3.2 miles in 34:14 for an average pace of 10:42. Slow, but definitely good. I really like running with Jen. She is a lot of fun.
I had a little leg pain around mile 1, but it went away after mile 2. Splits were 10:30, 10:49, 10:46, 2:18 (=10:48 pace). We were pretty consistent.
