I had such a fun time tonight! The temperature had started to drop when I got there due to the sun behind the clouds. Those clouds opened up on us just after we started and we were drenched! But it was nice and cool and breezy. I haven't had that much fun on a run in a while.
Jen asked for the play-by-play of the tri, so I gave her the full race report. I think she is inspired to try one. She loves the idea that they are so short. That is definitely appealing. While we were talking about it, a guy passed me and said, "Hi, Triathlete!" I recognized him from the race, though I don't remember if he was a participant or a volunteer. Jen said she thought about volunteering for the first one, but she didn't know if I'd think that was weird or if I'd be uncomfortable. I would have loved it! Just the thought that she wanted to support me at that event is really sweet. She's a cool person and I will miss our runs together.
So tonight we ran 3.16 miles in 32:26 for an average pace of 10:15. It was fun!
