Wednesday started out pretty well. Bill took Tawny and Rava and Jen and her dog, Penny, to the beach for a swim while I took the cats to the vet. They are healthy and all up to date on shots. When I came back, it looked like the dogs had a great time. I was bummed that Jen and I never got the dogs together before that.
After a few hours of last minute packing, we hit the road around 10 and headed west. Our plan for the first night was to go to the Waveland area of Mississippi and see Cherryl one more time. We decided to stay at the McLeod Water Park, just north of the Stennis International Airport. The park was beautiful! There weren't many people there, but the sites were well spaced out and were pretty well shaded. The cost was $13 for the night, which was pretty good.
We met Cherryl and went to the Snopalace for a late lunch. The food was surprisingly good. The soft-serve for dessert was good too. The dogs enjoyed theirs as well. Yes, they came with, as we didn't quite trust them back at the coach. It was great to hang out with Cherryl. I will miss her a lot.
After lunch we went to get a few things at Wal-Mart and then came back to the coach. Cherryl called as we were about to go to bed and decided to drop by for a few more minutes. That was a nice bonus! Then it was off to sleep.
It took a little bit for the dogs and cats to get settled into places to sit for the drive. Marco sat with the dogs or on my lap. Abby seems to like the console between the two front seats.
