Yesterday I got on a plane and flew to Connecticut to see my sister and her family. It was an uneventful trip except as we came in for a landing in White Plains, it felt like the pilot slammed on the brakes. We were going so slowly, I honestly thought we were going to fall out of the sky. My stomach was in my throat for a few minutes. Then we landed just fine, but I was a little nervous.
Visiting with Monica and Dave has been great. Elinor is such a sweet little girl. She has taken to me and I can hold her and feed her a bottle with no trouble. I even got to wear the baby belle pouch and carried her when we went for a walk last night. She was looking around and smiling at me and then fell fast asleep. What a sweetie pie!
The weather here is nice and cool. Kind of like what Monterey will be! Can't wait for that!
Today we are going grocery shopping for a few things for the party Sunday. Other than that, I'm just hanging out and helping to get things ready. I am enjoying my time here. I look forward to seeing the whole family Sunday. I am excited that we will be close to Monica and Dave when we both go to the west coast. Maybe we'll get to see them somewhat often. We have talked about meeting in the middle for a long weekend and getting together for Christmas. That will be great!
