Today was another perfect day on vacation. I rode my bike this morning, which was great. After my breakfast and shower I sat outside and knit for a little while. I came in and did some stuff on the computer and had lunch.
Later this afternoon I took the dogs down to the lake for some more swimming, which they enjoyed. As you can see, it wore everyone out, even those who didn't swim!
(This should have been rotated -- and the original was rotated -- but Blogger felt the need to change it.)
Once I had the dogs hosed off (which can be quite an ordeal), I decided to go on the train ride. Why not? Apparently trains are a great passion of the owners and I think it is pretty neat that they have it here. The first ride was on 24" tracks. This is the train,
Here is the main check-in building/mini (and I mean "mini") mart.
After that ride, they fired up the mini-train that runs on 7-1/2" tracks.
Here is a picture of the cute little footbridge we had to cross to get from one train to the other. The mini train was going out for a second ride.
Here is a long shot of the train station. I will take another picture over so you can really see the building.
After the rides it was supper time and then an after dinner walk. There was a band playing at the community house and we listened for a few minutes.
I think there may be ice cream in the future. I found some doggie ice cream at the grocery store and I bought some gelato for me. I think that will be the perfect end to a perfect day.
